Rhode Montijo is an artist, author, and illustrator whose work blends vintage Halloween imagery, old cartoons, folk-art charm, and the strange, playful logic of childhood imagination. His characters—pumpkin people, friendly ghosts, skeleton townsfolk, masked heroes, monsters, and other curious creatures—feel as though they have stepped out of a forgotten storybook, carnival poster, or handmade holiday decoration. They are spooky without being sinister, nostalgic without feeling dated, and instantly recognizable as inhabitants of Rhode’s singular visual universe.
That universe comes together in The Fantasmical World of Rhode Montijo, a growing collection of original characters, stories, prints, books, home décor, collectibles, and other objects designed to bring a little wonder into everyday life. Rhode’s artwork often draws on the bold colors, simplified shapes, imperfect textures, and expressive personalities found in vintage seasonal decorations, while giving them an unmistakably contemporary warmth and humor. His creations feel discovered rather than manufactured—as though they already have histories, relationships, and adventures beyond the edges of the picture.
Rhode is also the creator of illustrated worlds including Cloud Boy, The Halloween Kid, Skeletown, Pablo’s Inferno, and The Gumazing Gum Girl!, and his career has spanned children’s publishing, comics, animation, and character design. Across every medium, his central talent remains the same: creating characters that audiences immediately want to know, protect, collect, and invite into their homes.

There were so many steps to make our new SnaPak concept! First of all, it had to come out of the mind of Greg Aronowitz! Using years of experience not only creating collectibles, but buying them too, he came up with the concept of turning art into trading cards, then cutting them into layers to form a 3D scene!
Our SnaPaks are currently being manufactured on a large scale, but for San Diego ComicCon we wanted to have 50 prototypes so with the help of our talented family, Kevin Palmer and Kirstin Ineich, we cut and handmade them! We hope you enjoy!
